About the Mentor Ministry
If our current events have taught us anything, it is that we cannot live in isolation. We need community because God created us for it! Do you know what was the first thing God said was NOT good? That man was alone. (Genesis 2:18)
Why mentoring? It’s actually God’s idea. (See Psalms 145:4; Proverbs 27:17; Jesus’ ministry to the disciples; Paul’s ministry to Timothy; Romans 15:2; Titus 2:1,3-5 and others). It’s all throughout scripture!
Intentional mentoring relationships create a safe place for us to listen, ask hard questions, unearth potential, diligently pray for, and unconditionally love each other.
Why me? (Yes, you!) Because we’ve all been called to disciple… to pass on what God has done in us. Mentoring is NOT about one person having all the right answers for another. It is about doing life together, looking for opportunities to point them to Jesus, and seeking God’s wisdom together when questions arise. We will prayerfully match women together and trust the Lord to know who each woman needs.
But how? We don’t stop life to mentor; we do it organically as we go. So, mentoring can take on all kinds of formats! Just be intentional about investing in another’s life as you live yours.
