The "Calling Out the Called Ministry" was launched in the Spring of 2022 as an intentional way for our church to identify, encourage, equip, support, and send those within our church family in their journey of ministry calling. This ministry helps student discern their calling, give opportunity for real life ministry, financially provide for their theological education, and relationally support them along the way!

Ask any full-time minister and they will have testimony of the invaluable contribution of partners, peers, and mentors in their own journey. May we do the same for hundreds of individuals as we Call Out the Called.

How you can be involved:

  • Commit to pray for these students by name and watch for regular updates from the church on how to pray specifically.
  • Commit to joining the encouragement team for a specific student by reaching out to one of our Ministers.
  • Make a financial donation to the “Calling Out the Called Ministry” to assist in funding education scholarships.
  • Give these students an opportunity to share their story or teach in your small groups and Sunday School classes.
  • Are you or someone know at FBC Nac discerning a call to ministry? We’d love to have a conversation!

Catie Thornhill

B.H. Carroll Theological Seminary

Catie is currently a student at B.H. Carroll Theological Seminary. While pursuing her Master of Arts in Counseling, she works here in Nacogdoches as a Pre-K teacher. She is an active member here at FBC Nac, teaching College Sunday School and leading worship in the Summit Service. Pray for Catie's theological studies as she continues to invest her time into work, school, and ministry commitments.

Nicole Clemons

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

Nicole is currently a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. While pursuing her Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling she works in admissions at Southwestern and is an active member of Paradox Church. Nicole was a college intern during her time at FBC Nac while attending SFA and is preparing to minister in the church as a counselor. Currently, she is in the evaluation process to serve with the IMB as a 2 year journeyman after graduation in 2025. Pray for Nicole's counseling relationships, theological studies, and faithful future ministry decisions.

Zach is currently a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. While pursuing his Masters of Divinity, he also teaches college Sunday School at Southmont Church in Denton where he and his wife Corban are active members.
Pray for Zach's theological studies and teaching, for Corban as she pursues her Masters in Speech Pathology, and for their continued unity and wisdom in ministry.
