New to First

What to expect
Welcome to First Baptist Nacogdoches! We are so excited that you are interested in checking out our church. We know that visiting a new place can be a little scary and so we want to do everything to ease your concerns before you even pull into the parking lot. Below you'll find information about what our services our like, how people dress, and more!

If you have any questions that aren't covered here, feel feel free to email us, call the church office (936.564.7379), or head over to our Facebook page and someone can answer any questions you have.

What time are the services?

We offer a variety of services on Sunday Mornings.

At 9:00am we have The Celebration Service which is our blended style service led by our Celebration Choir and Orchestra. This is a mix of hymns, praise choruses, choral anthems, drama, and more.

At 11:15am is our contemporary style service called The Gathering. The atmosphere is laid-back, but still focused on scriptural truth and honest worship. Modern worship songs together with classic hymns are led by our band of volunteers from the congregation who have a desire to serve The Living God through music.

What about Sunday School or Bible Study?
We offer Sunday School Classes for all ages and groups.  Visit an Information Desk or Welcome Desk for help finding the right class for you!
What about parking?

Special guest parking spots are available in our main south parking lot. Look for one of our parking lot crew either walking the parking lot or driving around in golf carts if you need directions on where to park. Our smaller parking lot located on the North side of the Sanctuary is reserved for our senior adults and physically challenged individuals. This lot offers the closest access to the Sanctuary elevator. Once parked volunteers are stationed at each entrance to the church building. From there they can direct you into the building.

What do people wear?
This is always a big question. At First Baptist you will see people dressed in suits and ties, jeans and polos, and shorts and a t-shirts. Dress is not a big concern here. We just want you here worshiping our God.
